Ok I am the sort of person that DOES listen to advice, but also likes to make my own mind up. So going along that theme I joined G-Node. Before hand I did some research, as I wanted an ISP with FREE pipe. There were a few, but one that stuck out was called G-Node and they offered not only free pipe, but also free 'g-time' or unlimited downloaded from ANYWHERE before 10pm and 7am. Well if you are an Aussie you probably know of Whirlpool and their broadband choice forums. So I went there for info on g-node. All I found was pages and pages (I mean PAGES - like 50+ pages in several threads) of bad things to say about g-node. I read, and DID take note, but one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb was people only complaining about LAG. 

G-Node make a claim to be a 'gamers' isp, and so therefore gamers who joined obviously would bitch and moan about lag problems. Every few pages a leecher (like me) would pop up saying how great they are. So guess I listened to the leechers as that was what I was going to be doing.

Well I got sent an invitation to facebook so though what the hell. Might as well join up. Problem is I am feeling very inadequate in the 'friend' department... What's one suppose to do? On the bright side I am sure noone will even look at my profile so won't see the fact I only have 5 friends (Although only 1 would actually be a 'friend').

Can I justify the lack of friends? Well yeah I guess I can. My problem is I just don't like people. I find them annoying, and well, rather a hassle to be around. Kind of suprising to me that I actually found someone I did like, and actually wanted to spend time with. But we are married now so I guess as far as a 'friend' goes she doesn't count. 

But the lack of them has started me thinking... Should I be concerned that I have no real friends? Does one NEED friends? I have a wife, I have 3 awesome kids, I have work colleagues, and I have great neighbours? What else does one want? 

Guess he isn't moving! His wife said they just got a valuation done, and recon thei best yet is about $550k. She said she wants to move eventually so she doen't have such a drive to work, but no time soon as she wants a permanant position first. Ahh well patience is a virtual, unfortunatly I am severely lacking any!

This actually made me laugh. Need to put here for posperity, and so the wife can find it for her friends.

Time to vent some frustration... My neighbour is one hell of a sad b'stard, and I don't mean he is 'not happy', just a pathetic human being. I am sure he's over 50 and acts like a 3 year old. He is a Kiwi though so that might mean something, but then again so am I.

Well I like to spend each afternoon out the front of my house letting my kids play in the culdesac. They need it, the dog needs it, I need it. So that's what happens. Anyway this doesn't like me, cause well, I am not to sure. I think he thinks I am loud, obnoxious, and that I don't like his kids/dog. Aside from the first two he is far from right. Well ok he is right about the dog though. I don't like it cause it pisses on everything, and everyone. Anyway it's now at a point when he will NOT come out the front if I am there, which has given me many moments of laughter. He has told the other neighbour that he doesn't need to come out cause he has 'other friends you know!' and doesn't need to drink beer every day, but it seems when I was away for a week he was out everyday! 

One afternoon I was sitting out the front at my table and chairs, and the two neighbour wives were sitting on a rug closer to the road. He obviously didn't see me so started walking out with a cup of tea/coffee, then noticed me in the corner, and went to his letter box to check it. It's ok dickhead I know you only came out to check the mail!

I like to play with this so I wait till I see him out the front talking to other neighbours if they are out before me, then open my garage door and watch his reaction. Most of the time he looks straight over and starts to make his excuses as to why he needs to go inside as leaves. The rest of the time he waits for assurance it's me coming out not my wife THEN makes his escape. It is sooo funny to watch. But I think it's something you have to be there for! 

For &$)! sake you are 50!!! Get over it! 

Can't stop listening to Soko's album 'not sokute'. Loving it. Not everyone's cup of tea but definetly mine. think it's that cute french accent, but either way I like it. Just though I would mention that, and heres a video of her song "I'll kill her".

 

Well guess it was only a matter of time, and well here it is. My first blog. I will probably start posting some backdated stuff too so if you see this mid way through other crap that would be why!
